Reports in Italy claim Andrea Bertolacci is close to signing for Celtic. The Italian midfielder is currently a free agent but up until this week there has been no mention of a link between the player and the club.
Andrea left AC Milan at the end of the season after the Italian Giants didn’t offer him a new deal. The player spent last season on-loan to Genoa.
Bertolacci has five Italian caps to his name and Milan paid £18m for the player back in 2015 according to TransferMarkt. The midfielder has made over 200 Serie A appearances and is coming into his prime years.
The consensus in Italy is the player as yet to reach his full potential and is currently seeking an opportunity outside Italy.
According to Calcio Buzz, the midfielder is closing in on a move to Celtic. I’d take any report like this with a pinch of salt. It has been proven in the past agents use Celtic to get their players names out there and social media rumours can always find their way.
