Tommy McIntyre’s Celtic B side could be set for a stay in the Lowland League next campaign.
The Colts side has taken part in Lowland League action this season after agreeing to join the fifth tier of Scottish Football alongside Rangers B on a one-season trial basis.
Currently, the young Celtic side, managed by both Tommy McIntyre and former Celt Darren O’Dea, sit 2nd in the league, 13 points behind runaway leaders Bonnyrigg Rose.
Having enjoyed a season of regular football, we have seen several youngsters progress through to make their first-team debut this campaign, including Owen Moffat, Dane Murray, Joey Dawson and Ben Doak.
According to reliable journalist Stephen McGowan, Celtic are now looking to extend their stay in the Lowland League into the 2022/23 campaign to continue the new path of progress for the young players at the club.

Talks with clubs in the league are set to take place later this month, on the 21st of March, as the academy Bhoys look to secure more regular football going into next season.
It has certainly been an interesting experiment, which has seen a number of players impress and continue their development whilst linking to Ange Postecoglou’s first-team squad.
It will be interesting to see if the move to stay in the league goes through. Going off the initial report from McGowan, it sounds promising so far.
