It is no secret that Celtic will be in the market for a left-back in January. Greg Taylor has played practically every game this season amid the exile of Alexandro Bernabei.
Brendan Rodgers needs reinforcements this month, and a potential addition to his squad has been notably active on social media. Tiago Araujo has been long linked with a move to Parkhead; Daily Mail journalist Stephen McGowan revealed last month there is a ‘very strong possibility’ the Hoops sign the player in January.
At the weekend, after Celtic defeated their city rivals 2-1 in the Glasgow derby, goalscorer in the match Paulo Bernardo posted on Instagram.

Among some noteworthy responders to the 21-year-old’s photos was Araujo. He replied to Bernardo ‘Have you scored yet?’, coupled with a host of heart-eyes emojis:

Both Portuguese, the pair came through the academy at Benfica together. Their friendship has lasted, but one wonders whether there is something in Araujo’s response to Bernardo’s derby-day post.
It could be sheer coincidence that the left-back has been labelled as a likely winter signing for Celtic and he is responding to one of the club’s key men of late, or it could be foreshadowing his potential arrival to Glasgow.
