Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers seems keen to bring in a left-back this January. Greg Taylor has been starved of any real competition this season, but that could well change.
A left-sided full-back who has long been linked with the Hoops is Tiago Araujo. The latest update on the player comes from Portuguese outlet O JOGO.
They claim that although the Celts have not made any contact with Estoril over Araujo since November, they are preparing a proposal. The defender, however, won’t be sold for any less than four million euros.

It seems the Scottish champions would need to stump up a significant chunk of cash if they are to get their man, but it is funds that are available.
A product of the Benfica academy, Araujo has impressed in the Portuguese top flight for Estoril this season. He has scored twice and assisted once in 16 appearances from left-back. While playing for a side that sits twelfth in the table, such a return is respectable.
In the coming days and weeks, we will likely hear more of a potential move for the 22-year-old because, at the minute, the focus seems to be on a deal for Nicolas Kuhn. The German has been widely linked with a move to Glasgow and could well be The Bhoys’ maiden January signing.
He would bring even more quality to the wide areas as the champions gear up for a pivotal title race in the second half of the season.
