Internacional chiefs are set to fly to Europe for several recruitment meetings, in which they will discuss a permanent move for Alexandro Bernabei with Celtic [The Scottish Sun].
It comes amid the Argentine’s standout performances in the Brazilian Serie A, where he has established himself as one of the league’s best left-backs.

Bernabei has scored three goals and assisted four in 21 appearances since joining Internacional on loan in March. Given his performances, it is no surprise that the club wants to make the move permanent.
Celtic, however, want a hefty fee for the 24-year-old. Last month, it was reported that the Scottish Premiership champions were demanding €10m — which roughly equates to £8.3m — for Bernabei’s long-term services.
Such a price might be out of Internacional’s range, but given Bernabei’s performances and the fact that he is contracted in Glasgow until May 2027, the Hoops have every right to ask for the fee they are.
A permanent move might just be best for all parties, too.
The attack-minded full-back looks to have found some stability back in his native South America, and Celtic could do with getting him off the books because, at least at this moment in time, it doesn’t look like he will get an opportunity back in the first-team. Stranger things have happened, mind you.
