It’s no surprise this morning Greek journalist Gianni Chorianopoulos has claimed Premier League clubs are already sniffing around Celtic’s newest start Giorgio’s Giakoumakis.
Giannis has been told the striker is catching the attention if clubs down south with his blistering second half of the season with Celtic.
Celtic were the only serious bidder when it came to signing Giorgos in the summer. Despite the striker being the top scorer in the Dutch top flight with a team that got relegated – there were no Premier League clubs interested in the bargain signing.
Giakoumakis signed for the hoops later on in the summer window and took a while to get going. The Greek had no pre-season and had to play catch up with the first team. It resulted in the frontman sustaining a couple of injuries and having plenty of people writing him off.
Now – he’s scored back to back hat-tricks at Celtic Park and the striker is catching the attention of a lot of people.

Celtic have the big man under contract for another four years. The ball is well and truly in the Hoops court and while we don’t see the club parting ways with the player any time soon – if we did – it would be major money.
