Reports from Italy have suggested that Celtic could be making a move for Benfica man Franco Cervi.

As reported by Italian outlet Tuttocalciomercato, Cervi is namechecked as a man that the club are looking to move for, with Frenchman Odsonne Edouard set to leave this summer.

Despite being named in the same report as Edouard, the 27-year olds regular position for the Portuguese side appears to be more of a winger/attacking midfielder.

Cervi is also an Argentina internationalist who has played four times for his nation, scoring one goal.

This link looks to have come out of nowhere, with no other sections of the media suggesting that the Hoops could be making their move for Cervi.

So, at this stage, it remains to be seen how reliable and true these reports from Italy are. One thing is for sure though, if the club were to make a move for the 27-year old, it would likely be one that would excite fans going into next season.
