Celtic have reportedly not made an official bid to Peterborough United for Harley Mills, despite earlier reports suggesting an offer had been submitted for the promising left-back. [TCW]
The 19-year-old is on the Hoops’ radar as the club seeks to strengthen its options on the left-hand side of defence, with Greg Taylor now a free agent and attracting interest from a number of clubs. Taylor’s departure leaves Kieran Tierney, who recently returned to Celtic, without an established deputy going into the new campaign.

Mills is viewed as a potential long-term addition, but sources at Peterborough have made it clear that no formal approach has been received from Celtic. The League One side would prefer to cash in on the defender this summer rather than risk losing him for free when his contract expires in 2026.
The teenager has made 28 appearances throughout his career and chipped in with two goals and two assists.. His performances last season drew scouts from across the country, and Fulham have already seen a £1million bid rejected.

One of Mills’ standout moments came in the Vertu Trophy Final at Wembley, where he scored against Tomoki Iwata and Chris Davies’ Birmingham City.
With no deal yet struck for Jeffrey Schlupp, who ended last season on loan at Celtic, and Liam Scales and Mitchel Frame currently the only other left-back options in the squad, the need for reinforcements is clear. Mills represents a youthful, attack-minded option, but for now, the ball remains firmly in Celtic’s court.
