Luis Palma’s time at Celtic looks to be coming to an end, with reports from Greece indicating that Olympiacos are in final negotiations with the Hoops over a loan move for the winger.
Palma, who has registered seven goals and nine assists since arriving at Parkhead, has struggled for consistent game time under Brendan Rodgers. His departure comes in the wake of Celtic’s high-profile move to bring back Jota, with the Portuguese winger’s return effectively pushing Palma further down the pecking order.

Olympiacos Move Gathers Pace
Greek outlet To10.gr report that Olympiacos boss José Luis Mendilibar has given the green light for the deal, and discussions between the clubs are now focused on finalising the terms. Another Greek source, Hellas Football, confirm that the loan deal will run for the rest of the season, with a €4 million option to buy at the end.
Palma was previously on the verge of a move to Rayo Vallecano, but FIFA’s transfer ban on the Spanish club ended those plans. With time running out in the January window, Olympiacos have stepped in to offer the 25-year-old a fresh start in a league where he previously impressed with Aris.
Last Appearance for Celtic?
Palma made a late substitute appearance in Celtic’s 4-2 Champions League defeat to Aston Villa, potentially his final outing in the Hoops. While his time in Glasgow has been mixed, he has shown flashes of real talent, and a move to Greece could provide the platform he needs to rediscover his best form.
If the deal goes through, Palma will leave with best wishes from the Celtic support, though his signing ultimately failed to fill the void left by Jota’s initial departure. With Jota now back in Glasgow, the Hoops will look to push on in the second half of the season, while Palma aims for a fresh start in Piraeus.
