Nicolas Kühn is set to leave Celtic after just 18 months at the club, with Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reporting that a full agreement has been reached for the winger to join Serie A side Como on a permanent transfer.
The deal, valued at €20 million, will see Kühn sign a contract until 2029. He’s expected to undergo a medical next week, with only formalities remaining before the transfer is completed.

Kühn joined Celtic in January 2024 from Rapid Vienna and quickly became a regular under Brendan Rodgers. Despite a strong start to his Parkhead career, the German has now opted to move on, with Como securing his signature in what represents a significant piece of business for the Scottish champions.
Plettenberg confirms that personal terms were agreed after Fabrizio Romano’s initial report, and that Kühn rejected an approach from RB Leipzig to join Cesc Fàbregas’ project at Como.

It’s a substantial return for Celtic on a player they signed for around £3 million, with Rapid Vienna expected to receive a sell-on cut.
Kühn’s exit leaves a hole on the right flank, and Celtic are expected to move quickly to address that area. With Benjamin Nygren already in the door, more attacking reinforcements are likely as Rodgers reshapes his squad for the new campaign.
