Celtic’s second summer signing, it has not worked out for Aussie winger Marco Tilio in Glasgow thus far. Despite being at the club for over six months, Tilio has failed to make an impact.
The 22-year-old has managed two appearances in all competitions for the Hoops although his spell so far has been plagued by injury. Despite this, comments from Brendan Rodgers about him struggling to cope with the demands of Scottish football are telling, and it seems an exit is nigh.

Reports over the weekend stated that Tilio was attempting to secure a loan move away from Celtic to get back on track and according to The Scottish Sun, his former club Melbourne City want him back temporarily.
For the A-League side before moving to Glasgow, Tilio made 83 appearances, scoring 20 goals and assisting 19. A return to his homeland could undoubtedly help the player refind his feet and build some consistency in his football.
Under contract at Celtic until the summer of 2028, Tilio still has a vast amount of time to make it work at Parkhead. He is still young and because the Australian season ends around April time, he would be back in Glasgow for the start of the 2024/25 campaign, should he make the move.
