Celtic’s move for Kasper Dolberg has hit a setback according to reports in Belgium, after both Anderlecht and the striker turned down their latest offers.
The club made an opening bid on Friday and quickly returned with an improved offer, but according to Nieuwsblad, neither came close to what Anderlecht are looking for.
The Belgian side were not impressed, with reports suggesting Celtic’s first offer was less than half their asking price.
Adding to the challenge, Dolberg himself is not fully sold on the offer. The forward is aware of the interest and the terms being discussed but hasn’t been persuaded by them yet.
Celtic remain keen to strengthen their forward line before the transfer window closes, especially with Adam Idah expected to finalise a move to Swansea.

Dolberg has been one of their main targets, but unless the next bid is significantly improved and the player’s concerns are addressed, it’s uncertain whether the move will happen.
With the deadline fast approaching, Celtic’s recruitment team now face a crucial few hours. Whether they return with a better offer for Dolberg or switch focus elsewhere, they need to move quickly.
