Celtic are keeping a close eye on Andy Irving’s situation at West Ham, with the midfielder expected to move before the window shuts.
According to Claret & Hugh, West Ham recently rejected a £2.2 million bid for the Scotland international. While the club are holding out for closer to £3.5 million, reports suggest a deal could be struck if the fee rises to around £3 million.
The same report states that a fresh bid is now expected, with a transfer source quoted as saying: “There’s a lot of interest but only one bid so far, and that was last month. I think they’ll get another offer soon.”
Irving, who joined the Hammers in 2023 following a spell in Austria, has struggled to make an impact under Graham Potter.
With game time limited, West Ham are understood to be open to moving him on, especially amid a sluggish transfer market.

Despite that, Claret & Hugh report that Irving is unlikely to remain at the London club beyond the deadline, with Celtic among the clubs monitoring developments closely.
A £3 million fee would not be out of reach for Celtic, particularly with Brendan Rodgers reportedly looking to add depth to his midfield.
