Gustaf Lagerbielke’s time at Celtic looks to be coming to an end, with the Swedish defender reportedly closing in on a move to Portuguese side Braga.
According to a report from Swedish outlet Sportbladet, Celtic and Braga are now close to agreeing a fee for the centre-back, who is expected to travel to Portugal this week for a medical.

If all goes to plan, Lagerbielke will complete a permanent move and sign on with his new club.
The 25-year-old was signed from Elfsborg in the summer of 2023 for a fee reported to be around approximately £3 million. He made a handful of appearances for the Hoops, including a late winner against Feyenoord in the Champions League, but failed to cement a regular place in Brendan Rodgers’ plans.
He was sent out on loan to FC Twente in the Netherlands at the end of last summer, where he featured regularly in the Eredivisie. Despite solid showings, a permanent deal never materialised, with Twente reportedly unwilling to meet Celtic’s valuation.
Braga now appear ready to step in and sign him. The deal, according to Sportbladet, has been all but agreed, with only the medical and final formalities remaining.

Lagerbielke returned to Lennoxtown last week but has not been part of Rodgers’ long-term picture.
With Celtic looking to improve the squad and certain areas, the Swede’s departure would be a tidy piece of business heading into the new campaign.
