Celtic may be presented with an opportunity to land a familiar name for a cut-price fee this summer, as former Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski could reportedly be available for just £2.5 million. [SunSport]
The North Macedonian forward made a name for himself in the Scottish Premiership with an impressive record of 44 goals in 98 games for the Dons. His form earned him interest from both halves of the Glasgow divide before he made a club-record move to La Liga side Girona in August 2024, with the Spanish side paying in the region of £6.5 million.

However, Miovski’s time in Spain has not gone to plan. His debut season saw him net just four goals in 25 appearances, two of which came in a cup tie against fifth-tier opposition. More tellingly, he played only 20 minutes across Girona’s final 10 league fixtures as the club narrowly staved off relegation. With his stock having dropped significantly, Girona are reportedly open to offers well below the £6.5 million reportedly paid, despite the striker being under contract until 2028.
Brendan Rodgers was previously said to be a huge admirer of Miovski during his time at Aberdeen, reportedly having the attacker scouted in every game of the 2023/24 season. That level of sustained interest highlights how highly the Celtic boss regards the striker’s ability and potential fit within his system.
From a Celtic perspective, the potential availability of Miovski at a reduced price could appeal. At 25, he still has room to develop, and his proven goalscoring in Scotland positions him as a ready-made striker.

With Adam Idah failing to step up consistently and Daizen Maeda’s future up in the air amid reports of strong interest from Fenerbahçe, the Hoops are also set to replace Kyogo, with a striker likely to be signed this summer.
Celtic have favoured signings with domestic pedigree in recent windows, and Miovski ticks that box. His previous form with Aberdeen showed he can deliver in the Premiership, and a return to Scotland might just be what he needs to reignite his career. While no formal bid has been made, his situation is one to watch closely as Celtic weigh up their summer striking options.
