Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has been linked with a shock move to English champions Manchester City over the past 24 hours.

The Premier League outfit are looking for a backup to Erling Haaland, and they think the Hoops’ star man fits the bill. Kyogo is on City’s shortlist, along with another young centre-forward.
Any switch would be nothing short of sensational, and Celtic’s asking price for the frontman has now emerged.
According to a report from The Times, the club will hold out for a record fee for Kyogo given they do not need to sell him. It is said that the player, though, might find a move to one of football’s biggest clubs ‘irresistible’.
Kyogo has several connections to City. Assistant manager Juanma Lillo was his boss at Vissel Kobe for six months and Ange Postecoglou, who initially brought him to Celtic, worked with a City Football Group club – Yokohama F. Marinos – for three and a half years before moving to Glasgow.
Add this to the fact that Kyogo recently changed his agent, and the dots begin to connect.
It is set to a busy closing week of the transfer window. Celtic have left it late to do business, but so have other clubs with many of the Bhoys’ star men being targeted.
