Report Claims Kieran Tierney Would Be Open To Celtic Return

Kieran Tierney was one of the most popular Celtic players among the fans when he was at the club.

The left back came through the academy and relished every first team opportunity he got.

Tierney slowly but surely became one of the first names on the Hoops’ team sheet and recently, speculation has gathered over a potential return for the 26 year old to Glasgow.

The Scottish Sun report that the player wouldn’t close the door on a move to Celtic if Brendan Rodgers sought a reunion.

They say he will weigh up his future in the off-season after a hugely disappointing personal season with Arsenal.

Despite these claims, Tierney himself has said nothing.

It should also be stressed that the wage the Scotland international is on is astronomical compared to what any Celtic player will be earning, The Scottish Sun reporting the defender receives a colossal £120,000 per week.

It is said in the report, however, that a loan move could be pulled off but a significant compromise would have to be made on wages and a sizeable loan fee would have to be paid.

From the outside looking in, a Kieran Tierney return to Celtic does seem rather unlikely and somewhat of a pipe dream. Never say never, though.
