With Kyogo Furuhashi reportedly set to leave Celtic for Rennes in Ligue 1, one other Hoops striker has reportedly been eyed this month.
Johnny Kenny recently returned to Celtic after a successful loan spell in Ireland with Shamrock Rovers, particularly impressing in the Europa Conference League. However, there is another striker on the books who has gone under the radar in regards to first-team opportunities.

That striker is, of course, Daniel Cummings, who has impressed hugely with the Celtic B team, scoring 18 goals in 17 Lowland League games and 6 goals in 6 UEFA Youth League games.
Cummings has reportedly caught the attention of Brighton and West Ham, with both Premier League sides looking to sign the highly-rated Scottish forward.
However, Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph reports that Portsmouth, in the EFL Championship, are looking to sign Cummings on a pre-contract this month. With Celtic still negotiating over a new deal, the young striker’s future at the Hoops remains uncertain, with a conclusion likely to be made over the next fortnight.
Joseph previously reported in December that Club Brugge and RB Salzburg were also interested in Cummings, with the Celtic B team striker regularly scouted by a number of clubs. Celtic are trying their best to agree on a new deal so that he can progress further at the club in the coming years.
