Report: Celtic Star’s Representatives ‘Already Working’ on Summer Exit

Celtic winger Luis Palma has broken his silence over his immediate future, confirming his departure from Olympiacos and throwing fresh doubt over his next move. The Honduran winger, who spent last season on loan in Greece, confirmed over the that he will not be staying at the club.

Despite strong performances early in his loan spell, Palma’s influence lessened considerably towards the end of the season under Spanish boss José Luis Mendilibar. This comes after a recent report revealed that Palma looks unlikely to be part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans for next season.

He was benched regularly and omitted entirely from key fixtures, a clear indication that his time at the club was nearing an end.

Palma’s contract at Celtic runs until 2028, but his role under Brendan Rodgers looks to be uncertain. The 25-year-old is expected to report to Lennoxtown for pre-season, yet all signs point towards a summer exit — either another loan or a permanent transfer — as Celtic and the player’s representatives explore options.

A report from Once Noticias claims that while Palma will return to Celtic for the start of pre-season, it will not be a long-term return. The outlet states that both Celtic and Palma are already working on securing a move elsewhere in the summer window.

Palma’s priority is reportedly to play regularly in order to prepare for Honduras’ 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, and his camp is pursuing a destination where he can feature more prominently.
