Report: Celtic Moving Forward with Jota Deal

CELTIC are ready to move forward with their plans to sign their Portuguese winger Jota reports from his home country claim.

Jota has been a revelation since signing on-loan for the Parkhead club and fans are already clamouring for the player to be signed up on a permanent basis.

Celtic do have an option to buy, the fee is different whatever media outlet you listen to but there is something in place at least.

Abola.pt report Celtic are happy with Jota and are looking into triggering his transfer clause.

‘Celtic are satisfied with the performance of Jota, 22-year-old forward on loan from Benfica, and are thinking about moving forward to the definitive purchase of the under-21 international.

Celtic have found it hard to hold onto popular loan signings in the past but they’re in control of things this time around.

While we’d love to see the winger signed up in January, we don’t see Celtic stumping up the cash at that point when they’ve got business to do in January.

The bhoys need to bring in a few more players of quality to help out the current squad, if we were to shell out for Jota this January, it would diminish our funds for winter signings.

Hopefully the club can find a solution and Jota can become a permanent Celtic player.
