Report – Celtic Keen on Promising Norwegian League Forward

With Celtic returning to action next week, the transfer rumour mill continues to swirl.

Already this summer, the Bhoys have been linked with countless names as Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen his side for the forthcoming campaign, the latest being Edmund Baidoo.

According to a report from Sports World Ghana, Celtic, along with Leeds United, Brighton, and Club Brugge are interested in the teenage sensation.

Since joining Norwegian second-tier outfit Sogndal IL in March, Baidoo has scored eight goals and assisted six in 17 appearances.

The 18-year-old is on fire, but if brought in, would likely be an option for the future.

Links to Baidoo show that the champions are constantly on the hunt to bring in top young talents; a recent report stating the club is in talks to sign Middlesbrough sensation Ajay Matthews backs this up.

Known for developing youth, Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers has a positive track record of giving youngsters opportunities and helping them improve.

Perhaps the likes of Baidoo and Matthews could be the next the gaffer helps progress.
