Ajax are reportedly on the verge of securing the signing of Real Valladolid winger Raúl Moro, with reports indicating that a personal agreement has been reached between the Dutch club and the player.
The 22-year-old has been a standout performer for Spain’s Under-21s at the European Championship, attracting interest from multiple clubs across Europe.

Moro, who previously caught the eye of Celtic during the January transfer window, suffered a fractured collarbone that sidelined him for several weeks, halting any potential move at the time. Since his return, he has been instrumental in Valladolid’s campaign, contributing significantly despite the club’s relegation from La Liga.
Dutch outlet De Telegraaf reports that Ajax’s technical director Alex Kroes travelled to Spain to try and finalise the deal. The proposed fee is €9.5 million up front, with up to €1.5 million in add-ons, taking the total to €11 million. Moro is expected to sign a contract running until the summer of 2030.
While Ajax appears to be in the driver’s seat, Premier League side Wolves have also reportedly expressed interest in the winger, making a late move to rival the Dutch club. However, Moro’s preference for Champions League football, which Ajax can offer, may influence his decision.
Celtic’s interest in Moro may have been reignited as talks over Michel-Ange Balikwisha hit a snag. With that deal dragging on, the Hoops appeared to be weighing up a move for the Spanish winger once again.

But with Ajax now close to wrapping up a deal, the window for Celtic to make a late push is rapidly closing.
With the transfer window kicking into gear, the situation could change quickly and more updates are likely in the days ahead.
