Celtic’s striker search has taken another twist with the Herald linking the club to Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis.
The 27-year-old is a free agent after leaving Nottingham Forest by mutual consent at the end of the summer, ending a three-year spell at the City Ground.
His availability puts him on Celtic’s radar as Brendan Rodgers pushes for reinforcements in the final hours before the Europa League squad registration deadline.
Dennis joined Forest in 2022 following a standout season with Watford, where he scored 10 goals in the Premier League. However, his time at the City Ground failed to take off, with limited opportunities and a loan move to Istanbul Başakşehir during his spell.
The forward’s pace and versatility across the frontline could make him an appealing option for Rodgers, especially given the collapse of deals for Adam Idah, Kasper Dolberg and David Datro Fofana.

Celtic’s priority remains to add firepower before tonight’s 11pm Europa League registration deadline. Whether Dennis emerges as a serious target or simply one of several names under consideration, Rodgers knows he cannot afford to let the window close without strengthening his attack.
