Celtic are reportedly keeping tabs on Napoli’s young forward Giuseppe Ambrosino as the Hoops continues its search for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season. [SportMediaSet]
The 21-year-old Italian striker, who spent last season on loan at Frosinone in Serie B, netted five goals and provided four assists in 36 appearances.

Ambrosino, a product of Napoli’s youth academy, has yet to make a senior appearance for Antonio Conte’s side but has gained valuable experience through loan spells at Como, Cittadella, Catanzaro, and most recently Frosinone.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Serie A sides Cagliari and Cremonese expressing interest in signing him on loan for the upcoming season. Ambrosino had reportedly given the green light to a move to Cagliari, but Cremonese have since entered the race, potentially altering the striker’s next destination.
Ambrosino has also been a regular feature for Italy’s Under-21 national team, earning 11 caps and scoring twice. His international experience, alongside his club performances, has made him an in demand forward.

Celtic’s interest in Ambrosino suggests the club is actively exploring options to the attack this summer. However, with competition from Italian clubs and the player’s apparent willingness to continue his development in Serie A, even signing him on loan may prove challenging.
As the transfer window progresses, Celtic will need to act decisively if they wish to bring Ambrosino to Parkhead, especially with other clubs actively pursuing the young striker.
