Celtic are said to be interested in Germany under 21 international Denis Huseinbašić (Bild).
Ange Postecoglou wants to bring the young midfielder to Parkhead this summer after he endured a meteoric rise in German football this season.
Just last year, he joined Bundesliga side Koln for 50,000 euros (Transfermarkt) from German fourth tier side Kickers Offenbach and has went on to become one of the club’s top young stars.
He is now valued at 5 million euros on Transfermarkt and in the German top tier this season, Huseinbašić has made 18 appearances, scoring three goals and assisting one in the process.
He has also played a handful of times for Koln in the Europa Conference League, proving his European experience.
The report says Huseinbašić’s club have to worry about approaches for him.
Nonetheless at the minute, nothing appears extremely concrete.
Despite this, the interest would make sense and match up with Postecoglou’s recent comments about plans already being in place for the summer.
