Celtic fans enjoy keeping an eye on how former players of the club get on when they depart and now Bayer Leverkusen full back Jeremie Frimpong is no different.
Departing the Hoops in 2021, the Dutchman moved to Leverkusen for a fee of 11 million euros (Transfermarkt) with Celtic inserting a hefty sell on clause into the deal.
This insertion has turned out to be a greatly wise move from the Scottish champions as after excelling in his time at the BayArena so far, it appears Frimpong could be on the move.

Latest speculation has linked the 22 year old with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United and European journalist Patrick Berger has said the right back is keen on a move to United despite comments saying he is focused on Leverkusen at the minute:

The 50 million euro fee mentioned here is a hugely significant one and with it being reported Celtic have a sell on fee of 30% of any future Leverkusen profit (Daily Record), one imagines they could be in line for a tasty sum of money which could be in the region of 11.7 million euros if Frimpong is indeed sold for 50 million euros.
This deal is certainly one to keep an eye on over the coming weeks and months as it continues to gather pace with every update.
