Celtic are reportedly set to bid for Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller, having previously had an offer rejected this month.
Udinese have recently had offers for the Scottish midfielder, with one bid—including around £2.5 million—also rejected.
Miller has recently been out injured with a fractured ankle suffered against Rangers in a 2-2 draw at Fir Park on December 29th. However, he will likely return to training over the next week, meaning that if he joins Celtic, he could be in contention to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League in nine days.

SunSport report that Celtic are weighing up a bid for the 18-year-old today, with the Hoops previously sealing a Deadline Day move for Luke McCowan in the summer transfer window from Dundee. That deal was completed after 11pm, highlighting that, with players based in Scotland, finalising contracts at Celtic Park can sometimes be straightforward. However, the sticking point is often negotiations between the Hoops and the player’s club, with Motherwell said to value Miller at over £4 million.
Miller has this season become Motherwell’s youngest-ever captain at 18 years old when he led the team out at Hampden against Rangers in the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup. He went on to captain the team on 10 occasions before fracturing his ankle.
In 19 league appearances, he has registered two goals and six assists, with his ability to dictate play across the midfield standing out for a player with such potential. A move to Celtic certainly would signal the Hoops looking to bolster their midfield options ahead of the second half of the season.
