Kieran Tierney is reportedly set to return to Celtic, with Arsenal set to ignore a clause in his contract which could see the Gunners extend his contract beyond another year.
Tierney’s current deal expires in the summer, with Celtic repeatedly linked with a sensational return for the Arsenal defender.
SunSport report that Brendan Rodgers is desperate to re-sign Tierney and has been looking to do so since rejoining the club in June 2023.
They also report that a deal for Tierney could be wrapped up within the next month; however, the former Celtic defender’s wages could prove a stumbling block.
With the possibility of taking him on loan for the rest of the season a real option, if Celtic are unable to secure a deal in January, they will look to finalise a pre-contract agreement before the summer transfer window.
Newcastle United are also said to be interested in a move, although Celtic at this time look to be Tierney’s preferred destination.

Rodgers’ previous spell at Celtic working alongside Tierney from 2016 until 2019 will play a huge part in any deal, with the Arsenal defender having played much of his best football under the Irishman.
The pair were previously pictured together earlier this year at a Celtic FC Foundation charity event, sparking a frenzy over a potential Tierney return to his boyhood club, with many Hoops supporters eager to see him back at the club.
