Maik Nawrocki is reportedly being linked with a move back to his native Poland as reports suggest Pogon Szczecin are pushing to sign the Celtic defender on loan.
The 24-year-old centre-back, who joined the Hoops from Legia Warsaw in 2023, has struggled to make a consistent impact at the Hoops.

According to wSzczecinie.pl, Pogon are targeting Nawrocki in a loan deal that would run until the end of next season. The Polish side secured a fourth-place finish in the Ekstraklasa, edging out Nawrocki’s former club Legia Warsaw, who finished fifth.
Although contracted to Celtic until the summer of 2028, the move would offer Nawrocki a fresh start and more regular first-team football, something that he has certainly struggled for in Glasgow.
Nawrocki has found opportunities limited since arriving in Scotland, making just 18 appearances in two seasons. He was behind Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales, and Auston Trusty in the centre-back pecking order, with Dane Murray also in contention.
Celtic do have a large number of centre-backs, with Gustaf Lagerbielke and Stephen Welsh set to return from loan spells in the Netherlands and Belgium.

However, despite the depth, the quality in defence drops off significantly when compared to Cameron Carter-Vickers. Rodgers may look to address this by trimming the numbers and targeting players closer to Carter-Vickers’ level.
Though he didn’t play often, Nawrocki did manage a small milestone before season’s end—scoring his first goal for the club in a 5-1 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie in the second last league game of the season.
