We can’t really call it a transfer saga because there’s not been much to report this summer but there could on be movement on Odsonne Edouard heading out of Celtic.
According to a Portuguese journalist, Patrick Vieira is set to make a play for his country man and bring him on board for Crystal Palace.
The bid being touted at €18m.
Crystal Palace is ready to offer around 18M€ to Celtic for Odsonne #Edouard. 🇫🇷 #CPFC

Giorgios #Giakoumakis is almost ready to replace the French player at the Scottish club. 🇬🇷 #Celtic
Edouard has one year left on his Celtic deal but has expressed a desire to leave. Ange Postecoglou has been confident in the Frenchman’s temperament and kept him in and around the first team this season so far.
Hoops fans will feel much better about a potential exit for Eddy now Furuhashi has come in and shown what he can do.
The club won’t risk the player going for nothing next season – so if they get a sizeable bid you have to imagine Dom McKay will give it the green light.
Crystal Palace would be a forwards move in terms of financial rewards but a backwards move on the pitch. They may play in a better standard of league but they are nowhere near Celtic when it comes to size and stature.
