Report: Celtic £4m Offer Rejected

Celtic’s pursuit of Danish Under-21 striker Mathias Kvistgaarden has hit a snag, as Brondby have turned down a £4 million offer from the Scottish champions.

Celtic gaffer, Brendan Rodgers, is eager to enhance his attacking options, especially after a couple of goalless performances in recent matches.

While Celtic are close to finalising a £3.5 million deal for Honduran winger Luis Palma from Aris in Greece, they are still in the market for additional attacking talent.

According to Danish media source BT, Brondby have declined the bid, dealing a setback to Celtic’s plans. MLS team Houston Dynamo also made an unsuccessful offer for the 21-year-old forward.

Brondby appear unwilling to part with Kvistgaarden, who recently extended his contract until 2027. The Danish side views him as a valuable asset whose worth could increase substantially in the future.

This development may compel Rodgers to consider alternative options, as Celtic aim to bring in as many as five new players before Friday. It’s a tall order!
