This marks the second time the Celtic midfielder has been given a starting position, following his 45-minute appearance against Vietnam.
Hatate has been in sensational form at Celtic this season, garnering attention as a contender for the Player of the Season award. However, he narrowly missed out on the accolade to fellow Japanese internationalist Kyogo, who will begin today’s match on the bench. Additionally, Daizen Maeda, a regular in the Japanese squads, will also be among the substitutes.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 11:10 UK time. Unfortunately, there is no channel broadcasting the game for viewers in Britain, and even One Football, known for streaming matches on their app, is not providing coverage.
It is truly exciting to witness Hatate’s inclusion in the starting lineup. This opportunity holds great significance for him, particularly in light of the numerous times he has been overlooked in the past. Hopefully, he will seize this chance and demonstrate to Moriyasu the talents he has been missing out on.
