Released Celtic Midfielder Impressing Down South

Liam Burt left Celtic this summer after only signing on a year prior with the Scottish Champion’s.

A mixture of the pandemic hitting and no real fixtures for the reserve team meant his chances to impress were very slim.

Now a free agent, Liam doesn’t appear to be letting the rejection get him down. The midfielder has been in trial with Barnsley and has impressed in the three bounce games he’s played.

Now Glasgow Times are reporting the former Celtic midfielder has caught the eye of Sunderland who could offer him a trial .

Burt is a talented midfielder but he needs first era football to finally realise his potential. Whatever his next move in football is, he has to make sure it’s at a club willing to give him a chance.

There’s no reason why the former Celt can’t be a success down south. He’s always shown great professionalism and seems dedicated to his craft.
