Reports in France claim AS Monaco have made and had an approach for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard REJECTED ahead of next weeks transfer deadline.
The rumours have been very quiet on the Edouard front this January and we thought we were going to escape this circus, at least for January.
However GFFN have reported Monaco have enquired about the player but also report they got no encouragement from Celtic.
GFFN: AS Monaco have this weekend had an approach from Scottish side Celtic rejected for 22-year-old French striker Odsonne Édouard, according to sources contacted by Get French Football News.
The report goes onto say, Edouard is in no hurry to leave Celtic and that any bid would seem futile at this point.
It would be unfathomable from a Celtic fan’s point of view if the player was sold right before the January window closed.
Right now, we’d say it’s a pretty safe bet Edouard will be at Celtic after the January window closes. In the summer there’s going to be a lot of interest and that’s where we might have to start getting worried.
It’s up to the Celtic board to keep him as long as possible.
