Nick Walsh has been appointed referee for Celtic’s home clash with Hibernian on Sunday afternoon in the Scottish Cup, with Kevin Clancy on VAR duties at Clydesdale House.

The match will be shown live on Premier Sports 1, while international Celtic TV subscribers can also watch live coverage.

This comes with reminders of the last time Celtic faced Hibs at Easter Road, when VAR official Alan Muir wrongly intervened to disallow a late Celtic equaliser. The goal, which would have made the score 2-2, was later reviewed by the KMI panel, who concluded by a 4-1 vote that Celtic should have been awarded the goal.
Hibernian are in impressive form, currently unbeaten in 15 games, with recent victories over both Hearts and Celtic highlighting their resurgence under David Gray.
Their 2-1 win against Hearts on Sunday saw Martin Boyle and Jack Iredale secure a huge derby win, lifting them to third in the Scottish Premiership.
Just a week earlier, they stunned Celtic with a controversial 2-1 win at Easter Road. With momentum firmly on their side, Hibs will look to repeat their success as they face Celtic again this Sunday in the Scottish Cup.
However, Celtic have something to prove and know that anything but their best may not be enough. Under Brendan Rodgers, the Hoops are likely to be hugely motivated to end what has been a great run for Hibs in recent months.
