Celtic came away deserved 2-1 victors in Saturday’s Glasgow derby. Goals in either half from Paulo Bernardo and Kyogo Furuhashi helped The Bhoys to a colossal three points.
As is always the case in a game the size of the one played out at Parkhead today, there are numerous controversial decisions. The most notable of today’s clash came in the first half.
Alistair Johnston attempted to usher the ball out for a goal-kick although when up against Abdallah Sima, the ball appeared to have struck the hand of the Canadian right-back.

Although many assumed a penalty should’ve been awarded, the Senegalese attacker was adjudged to have been offside in the build-up. His club, though, have failed to accept this correct decision and according to Sky Sports, Rangers will ask the SFA for the VAR audio of the incident.
It remains to be seen if it will be released although what we can take from this is that Rangers cannot take no for an answer and accept that the right decision was made against them. Celtic were fair winners in today’s match and no matter what audio is released, that fact will remain true.
