CELTIC is getting ready for a tilt at the ChampionsLeague after a five year absence. The bhoys will be up against Real Madrid, Leipzig and Shakhtar.
RB Leipzig are familiar to Glasgow over the past period of time. The Hoops have taken on the German’s in the Europa League and they were also in town last season to take on Rangers. They know all about the red hot atmosphere that Glasgow can bring.
One man who also will know what Leipzig can expect from Celtic Park is a certain Andreas Hinkel who is a coach at the Bundesliga club.
The official Leipzig account posting out the former Celtic defender is set for a return to Parkhead in the Champions League.
Hinkel was a right back under Gordon Strachan, he was a good player but injuries really hampered his time at Celtic. He was a fantastic professional and a good guy. He still keeps in touch with what the club is doing from afar.
Now working at Leipzig, Hinkel will be helping to plot our downfall in the Champions League.
However, it will be nice to see Andreas back at Celtic Park, but we hope he leaves disappointed.
