RB Leipzig Boss Makes Celtic Park Admission

RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose has praised the environment which his side are heading into ahead of the clubs fourth match in the Champions League.

The German boss has previously managed a team to victory at Celtic Park with his RB Salzburg side winning 2-1 when he last visited Glasgow four years ago.

He will know that his challenge is completely different as both clubs will be looking to win the match but has admitted that he is looking forward to the tie.

“A great stadium. We are expecting a good crowd with an audience who understands football and not only supports their team, but also appreciates it when the opposition plays well. It will be fun to play here!” [RB Leipzig Twitter].

There has been much debate on social media in recent weeks between Celtic fans after some supporters applauded off Real Madrid star, Luke Modrić. in the 3-0 defeat by the current European champions.

Many would like Celtic Park to be an environment that is feared with players not looking forward to visiting the stadium.

However, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou gave a nod to those fans who did acknowledge Modrić and gave praise about the supports love for football.

“Our focus has to be looking forward to Celtic v RB Leipzig. To this great game in a great stadium with a great atmosphere in the Champions League.”

It could be a night to remember if Celtic can manage to beat the Bundesliga side. A draw doesn’t suit the Hoops in their pursuit of second place in the group which is still mathematically achievable if they can win against RB Leipzig at Celtic Park.
