The fixture will take place at the City Stadium – previously known as Lesser Hampden – as the Spiders gear up for another season in the Championship. Celtic, meanwhile, will use the match as the first step in their pre-season preparations as they look to sharpen up before the league and European qualifiers begin in August.
The match will offer fans their first glimpse of Brendan Rodgers’ side in action after the summer break, with new signings potentially making their debuts. Celtic TV has already confirmed the game will be shown live for subscribers, but demand for in-person tickets is expected to be strong.
Queen’s Park have also revealed that a small number of hospitality spaces remain in their Black & White Lounge, with those packages on sale now.
Celtic are due to return to training soon, before heading into a packed pre-season schedule that includes friendlies against Cork City, Sporting CP, Newcastle United, Ajax, and more. The Queen’s Park game kicks it all off and will likely feature a mix of senior and B team players as Rodgers begins to assess his squad for the season ahead.
