Putting in the work. That’s the message from former Celtic star, Victor Wanyama as he continues his career in Canada.
The player currently has a contract with Montréal and has been playing consistently since moving from Spurs in March 2020.
The defensive midfielder will be 30 at the end of June and has 18 months left on his current deal.
We’ve often been a proponent of Victor coming back to the club and he has said before he would love to pull on the Hoops again. Some people who stopped watching Victor’s progress when he left European football will not know his injury problems appear to be behind him.
As you get older, you have to look after your body and put in even more work to stay at the very top of your game and that’s what Victor appears to be doing.

I would love to see Wanyama back at Celtic for two or three seasons if he was to move to the club this summer.
However, I think the chances of the Kenyan coming back to Glasgow is slim to none. We’re about to off in a completely different direction with Ange Postecoglou.
Signing old players who have done it for Celtic in the past won’t be on the Australian’s radar. We’re likely to get a few names thrown at us that are unfamiliar given Ange’s knowledge of the game in Japan and Australia.
Saying that, if an opportunity arose to bring Wanyama back, I would like to think the club would explore it.
