Pundit Reacts To ‘One of Those Nights’

JOHN HARTSON has admitted Jota had a poor performance in Celtic’s defeat to Bodo/Glimt. The winger got a lot of the ball but failed to create anything.

The Benfica loanee passed back more than he took a man on, an unfamiliar sight for fans.

He wasn’t the only poor performer on the park, many others failed to impress.

Speaking to BT, quoted by the Daily Record, Hartson said;

Jota, again, lots of endeavour and lots of the ball but it was just one of those nights.”

After analysing the winger’s performance, the pundit turned his attention to Greg Taylor, who also underperformed;

O’Riley does well, he works back so Celtic are two versus one defensively but Greg Taylor’s got to show him down the line.

He’s cut inside so, so easily. Look at this, this is so feeble from Taylor.

Watch, how easy is that?! Show him down the line, your body angle is in the wrong shape for a start. He cuts inside, that is just far too easy.”

In Europe, all players must be on their game, the team can not carry any passengers. Thursday night’s result can be blamed on several individual performances.

There will likely be some rotation for Dundee’s visit to Celtic Park on Sunday, giving players the chance to get a rest and others the chance to impress.

Postecoglou would have learned a lot from the performance, he must use this to make sure the display is not replicated in the Arctic Circle.
