Pundit Outlines His First Name On The Team Sheet For Celtic at Ibrox

The build-up to this weekend’s Glasgow derby is only getting fiercer by the day, and pundit and current Falkirk midfielder Stephen McGinn, brother of Scotland star John, has outlined who would be his first name on the Celtic teamsheet at Ibrox.

Indeed, McGinn thinks that despite not scoring against Livingston at the weekend, striker Kyogo Furuhashi has got to get the nod in one of the biggest league derbies in a while.

Given his prior scoring record against Rangers, Kyogo could easily prove the difference-maker on Sunday. In each Glasgow derby this campaign, he has bagged the winner.

One wouldn’t put it past the little Japanese frontman to make an impact once again in the most colossal game of the campaign.

McGinn has no doubts about playing him. He said: [live on Go Radio] “I just think the Kyogo one, I think he will play.

“The joy he’s had against Connor Goldson, John Souttar, and whoever else has played there over the last year. I think he has seven [goals] in six games against Rangers over the last calendar year.

Kyogo would be the first name on the teamsheet for me at Ibrox given because of the success he’s had running in behind Connor Godson.”

This season, the 29-year-old has 15 goals to his name. One wouldn’t bet against Kyogo adding to that tally at the weekend in a fixture that he is no stranger to scoring in.
