New Celtic Bhoy Alistair Johnston is celebrating his younger brother being drafted to the MLS with New York City FC for the upcoming season.
Malcolm, a midfielder, is following in his brother’s footsteps by playing in the MLS and beginning his own journey in the professional game.
Alistair left the MLS in December to sign for Celtic, moving from Montreal to Glasgow to take the next step in his career after the World Cup.
Malcolm now has the potential to make a name for himself while his brother does his thing in Glasgow.
Alistair took to social media to declare a ‘proud older brother moment’.

Alistair was in attendance on Wednesday evening at Celtic Park and was paraded in front of the Celtic fans before the game alongside another new bhoy Yuki Kobayashi.
Johnston isn’t eligible to play for Celtic until the beginning of January. The first chance he’ll be able to get game time will be in the Glasgow Derby at Ibrox.
Josip Juranovic’s future is still up in the air as we speak, but it looks like the right back position will be a straight shoot out between Alistair and Anthony Ralston by the end of the season.
