Price Set for Celtic ‘Target’ After Club Throws Out Swap Deal

CELTIC ‘target’ Robert Gumny has been subject to a bid from Fiorentina according to the latest reports.

The defender has been on some Celtic fans’ wishlist since last year but the club have never made an official bid for the player and any chat of the player coming to Glasgow has all been speculation.

According to RecordSport, Fiorentina have had a bid rejected for the 21-year-old star which was a bid in the region of €5m with a player exchange. Lech Poznan are said to be uninterested in a swap player and the report also claims the club have set a fee in the region of €7m.

Celtic have brought Hatem Abd Elhamed in to play right-back but Neil Lennon has still spoken about bringing in another right-back.

Hatem can play right-back and centre-half and could alternate depending on what Celtic need at the time.

To this point, Celtic’s summer transactions have been very quiet since their early flurry.
