‘Pretty Far Down The Line’ – Celtic Edging Closer To Further Addition

Celtic look like they could be set to add further additions to the squad with Shamrock Rovers defender Liam Scales edging closer to a move to Parkhead.

Scotsman journalist Barry Anderson reported that a deal to bring the Irishman to Glasgow is reportedly ‘pretty far down the line’ as Ange Postecoglou looks to add to his defensive options.

Scales is thought to be a versatile, left-footed player who can play at both centre-back and left-back.

The 23-year old has been linked with a move to the Hoops in the last few weeks, but it now looks to be edging closer to being completed, with Anderson also stating that a deal in the region of £500,000 is expected to go through in the coming days.

Similarly to another Celtic transfer target – Josip Juranovic, Scales is currently featuring for Shamrock Rovers in what appears to be his final appearance as they take on Estonia side Flora Tallinn in the Europa Conference League play-offs.
