Celtic are back in league action to face Hibernian at Easter Road and it isn’t likely that Ange Postecoglou will make too many changes to his side.
The performance against St Johnstone on Christmas Eve was much more like the Celtic of old as the scoreline could have been whatever the Scottish champions wanted it to be as the manager had promised to ring the changes after the 2-1 victory against Livingston as he was visibly frustrated due to the amount of chances being missed during the match.
Those alterations paid off and it is likely that the league leaders will field a similar looking outfit in the capital.
The central defensive pairing and goalkeeper pick themselves at Celtic as Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers will play in front of Joe Hart as they hope to add to the clean sheet picked up upon their return back to domestic duty at Pittodrie.
Reo Hatate was given the task of playing right back at the weekend and popped up with two terrific goals and is likely to continue there as Anthony Ralston appears to still be out injured and Josip Juranovic has just returned to training following his World Cup adventure.
On the other flank, he will be accompanied by Greg Taylor who is yet to put a foot wrong this season domestically.
There was a great balance to the Hoops midfield in the win against St Johnstone even without Reo Hatate and Postecoglou may just be tempted to stick with the trio of Callum McGregor, Aaron Mooy and Matt O’Riley.
Up top is where there could be some changes from the weekend’s fixture apart from Kyogo who added to his impressive goalscoring form in the league at the weekend to make it 13 goals in 16 appearances.
It’s pretty impossible to predict the wingers Celtic will go with but Jota may return to the team and could be accompanied by Sead Haksabanovic on the other wing.
