Postecoglou’s Reward

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has been named as manager of the Month for October.

The Aussie boss guided his team on an unbeaten run, winning against Aberdeen, Motherwell, St Johnstone and Hibs. Only Livingston took points off the Hoops in the goalless draw at Celtic Park.

During the month, Postecoglou’s team scored 13 goals in 5 games, conceding only twice. The run has seen Celtic climb the table, only four points from the summit.

In the matches, the team performed extremely well and demonstrated Ange’s playing style in the best of manner.

After the international break, the team will hope to continue their impressive run, with two important games in the first week back. A trip to Hampden will be followed by an away to Bayer Leverkusen where if the Hoops want to be playing in the Europa League after Christmas, a point would help the cause.

This month will be followed by a December fulfilled with fixtures, most weeks playing midweek as well as the usual weekend slot.
