Ange Postecoglou is confident that his Celtic side will have a successful end to the season as they gear up for the remaining 14 matches of the Scottish Premiership.
On Wednesday night, the Scottish champions maintained their impressive form with a comfortable 3–0 win against Livingston at Celtic Park.
The nine–point gap currently in place over Rangers has made them favourites to lift the league trophy once again, however, Postecoglou is determined to remain focussed on one game at a time.
Speaking after the match, Ange Postecoglou admitted that he’s excited for the rest of the season, with Celtic in a strong position in the league with two cups still to play for, one of which Celtic are in the final.
He said: [The Celtic Way]
There is no point trying to think about anything other than we are playing some great football, we are being very consistent and why wouldn’t we want to that for the rest of the year?
“There is no reason or anything that should derail us from that focus. We have 14 league games left and we have both cups.
“This is an exciting part of the year and we are in a good position in terms of we have a really strong squad and guys who are really healthy and hungry to be the best they can be. So why not finish the season really strongly.”
When Celtic play their best football, they’re very hard to stop. But we can’t get too carried away, a quick reminder of the Scottish Cup last year shows that Celtic are still beatable.
