Ange Postecoglou never got to work with Jeremie Frimpong at Celtic but the Australian was full of praise for the former Hoops right back ahead of his Parkhead return on Thursday.
“He has done really well,” Postecoglou told the Glasgow Times. “He did well here in the couple of years and I think he would be the first to say his time with Celtic helped him in his career.

“We gave him that platform on which to perform. He did so and he got a great move after it.
“Anyone who passes through this club is part of our history and I am sure he would acknowledge that.”
Jeremie will return to Celtic Park with Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League and will play an almost unrecognisable side from the one he left in January.
Celtic could not turn down the money on offer for the German club back in the winter window but they’ve taken a long time to replace Jeremie.
It’s only been in the last month Josip Juranovic has come in to help out Anthony Ralston who was thrown into the limelight this season. To be fair to Ralston, he’s played well and has shown a lot of people he’s much more than just a fringe player.
It will be interesting to see Frimpong back at Celtic Park so soon after leaving. Celtic fans had a lot of time for the player while he was at Celtic.
