Postecoglou Falls to Heartbreaking Defeat – Celtic Bound?

ANGE POSTECOGLOU’s team were taken to penalties today against minnows Honda FC in the Emperor’s cup and were knocked out in heartbreaking fashion.

The game ended 2-2 after extra time before penalty shootouts settled things.

This was speculated to be Ange’s last game and we’re likely to find out sooner rather than later if that’s the case.

The Australian has been hotly tipped to take over at Celtic Park this summer but nor Ange or the club have broken cover to confirm the deal.

If reports over the past few days are true, Ange will finish up today with Marino’s and hot foot it to Glasgow in order to get rolling with the Hoops.

Nothing’s ever straight forward with Celtic, last season and our protracted, unsuccessful negotiations with Eddie Howe has proven that.

The hope is Postecoglou is shortly announced and he can get to work behind the scenes almost immediately before joining his players on the pitch in pre-season.

The players due back next week will be all who are not participating in the Euros or for their country so it won’t be a full house at Lennoxtown when John Kennedy is likely to take the team.
